6 slices of bacon (I prefer the thick cut)
1/2 head of green cabbage
1/2 head of red cabbage
1/2 cup pecan pieces
salt and pepper to taste
Cook the bacon over medium heat and remove from pan.
Add the cabbage to the bacon fat and cook until the cabbage is tender (about 10 - 15 minutes) over medium high heat.
Once the cabbage is cooked remove from the pan, drain if there is excess fat, add crumbled bacon and pecan pieces and serve.
I enjoy this dish and even serve it to friends at dinner parties!
